Anna Morrison is a poet from Alpharetta, Georgia. She holds an M.F.A. from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a B.A. in English from the University of Georgia. She is a 2014 Nightboat Books Poetry Prize finalist, a recipient of the Friedman Fellowship from The University of Iowa, and a 2014 Yaddo Residency Fellow. Anna has taught creative writing at The University of Iowa, the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, and to students through the Iowa Youth Writing Project and the International Writing Program. Her work has appeared in Pacifica Literary Review, The Moth, Handsome, and The Journal, and is forthcoming in Ploughshares. Currently she lives in Iowa City with her 2-year-old son and teaches Screenwriting at The University of Iowa.
