Writing a Successful Book Proposal

Weekend July 20 to July 21 2019

A book proposal is your introduction to an agent or editor. It should answer two primary questions: Why will this book sell? Why are you the best person to write it? This workshop will focus on helping participants begin the process of writing a book proposal for various nonfiction forms such as memoir, historical, essays, autobiography, anthology, resource, self-help, how-to, humor, and more. Specific areas of the proposal will be discussed and developed including: title, hook, market, promotion, bio, and outline. This class is for writers at any stage of the book-writing process.

In this workshop we will provide feedback on writing you bring from home or produce in our weekend.
